Internet marketing for newbies
In the internet marketing world a “newbie” is someone who is new to the world of internet marketing and just starting out but I would go one step further and say a “newbie” is someone who has never made money using internet marketing.
If you are new to all of this and thinking about how to start an online business here are a few things I wish I had paid attention to back then. I heard them being said but never really listened.
Internet Marketing For Newbies – 7 Tips To Remember
1. You need to build a list. Whatever you choose to do online you must ALWAYS think about how to get people to subscribe so you can build your database of contacts. Without that list building a business is next to impossible.
2. You don’t have to pay a fortune for things – low cost and free is fine – but know when to go low and when to pay up! Free isn’t always better online, there are times when paying is worth doing because it brings you more. You can get traffic from a variety of free sources but you may end up with time wasters and information suckers who only never want to pay a dime for anything. Paid traffic from pay per click or advertising usually brings people ready to buy and instant sales.
3. If you use free it will suck your time, if you outsource and pay you need to have money. People think they save money by doing it themselves but you don’t, all you do is go through hours of frustration trying to work something out that another person can do in an hour! If money is tight and do it yourself is your only option then make sure you learn fast.
4. Always, always, always, do your research and know your keywords. It makes life so much easier if you know who you are targetting and the phrases you have to use. This site is all about how to start an online business. I know exactly what I am writing about and why. I know who I am writing for and how I can help them.
5. Spend time thinking about what you want to do rather than be in a rush to get something up. On the other hand don’t let all that thinking stop you from ever getting started. Don’t be in a rush to decide right away what you want to do because there is time and you are much better off looking around at what might work for you first. Whether you use affiliate marketing, selling resale right products, creating your own products, drop shipping or any of the other major things you can do online – take time to choose.
6. Get support. Whether it is from a free forum, a social network or a paid membership site like MRMI Supercash – get yourself support from people who can help you succeed.
7. Stay focused and be committed to achieve. These intangable assets that run our business were discussed in a free report by Stephen Pierce and are just as important as all the other parts I mentioned because even if you know your keywords, you build your list, you have support and you know what you want to do – without focus and commitment you won’t get too far.
Those are my 7 internet marketing for newbies tips that I hope get you thinking about how to start an online business that will help you make money on the internet.
